Overview

Commit is an iOS app that helps people create new habits. This is an internal project we created because our team is passionate about habits that impact lives for the positive and after trying many apps decided it was time to create our own.

Simple branding inspires UI

Everything throughout the branding and UI symbolizes commiting to that next step. Showing progress and taking general ideas and turning them into instinct. The app has mutiple layers to keep things simple or dive deeper. If we can provide insight on success or failures there were actions users could take to increase their chances of success.

The Chain

The logo chain in the negative space became the chain to connect your streak in the app.

Not the first, but better

After countless hours of research and discovery, we set out to establish how habits are formed but more importantly how they are maintained. We didn't want the app to be something users spent time managing.

Have Fun

Lastly, its our own product so we had fun. We didn’t let visuals fall to the way side and had fun adding nice interactions, a simple marketing site, and whatever else we want including dark mode!

The Results

Commit was an experiment in a lot of ways. From testing our own process to better understanding different strategies. The main goal was to experiment. We explored new gestures to make a unique and rewarding experience. The result was users committing to themselves to build and keep their habits.
